Spring Cleaning: Cleaning & Protecting Your Floors

It's that time of year again when we open the windows and start deep cleaning those areas of our house that may have taken a beating over the winter.  Ceramic and Porcelain floors are known for being resilient and durable but some regular maintenance is needed to help to keep them from getting too dirty.  Cleaning up any spills or vacuuming dirt right away will keep dirt from penetrating too deep.  To keep your floors looking great you'll need to pay some attention to your grout as well. Over time your grout starts to get brown and dingy looking, a grout sealer will help to provide a protective barrier that will help repel stains.

Cleaning with some natural household ingredients around your house are great for regular maintenance, a simple mixture of hot water and vinegar is a great alternative to harsh chemical products, especially if you have young children or pets and it's very effective at removing odors as well.

But for the times when your floors need a little extra help to remove grease, food stains and build up from hard water or soap, we carry a line called Aqua Mix for stone, tile and grout.  Their products are safe, non-toxic and non-acidic so they won't damage your floors and vary in concentration levels from weekly routine to deep clean.

Another product we are loving for cleaning your grout is R-Teez Tile Grout Cleaner, similiar to that little magic eraser that cleans virtually any hard surface in your home, this little blue eraser does the same for your grout lines!

Stop in today to see what we carry for ceramic floors, grout, and sealers.
